Services | Geotechnical Engineering

Lone Pine Geotechnical Ltd. specializes in providing geotechnical engineering services during the planning, design, and construction stages of projects.

Our services include:

obtain information on the physical properties of soil and rock around a site to design earthworks and foundations for proposed structures and for repair of distress to earthworks and structures caused by subsurface conditions.

Geotechnical Investigations

assess the safe design of a human-made or natural slopes (e.g. embankments,
road cuts, open-pit mining, excavations, landfills etc.) and the equilibrium conditions.

Slope Stability Assessments

assess pile resistance at End-of-Drive, or at Beginning-of-Restrike to provide proof or reassurance of pile capacity.

Septic Field Assessments

Soil mechanics site investigations are conducted to discover the characteristics of the soil at the particular location. There are different methods of soil investigation.

Soil Bearing Inspections

A retaining wall is a specially designed structure that holds soil on one side and is free standing on the other. They help to accommodate changes in grade in a landscape with uneven topography.

Pile Installation Monitoring

(MSE or reinforced soil) is soil constructed with artificial reinforcing. It can be used for retaining walls, bridge abutments, seawalls, and dikes.

Groundwater Level Monitoring

Successful rehabilitation requires an evaluation of soil and site conditions to determine the goals of rehabilitation and the techniques to be used.

Reinforced Slope Designs

A septic tank is a chamber used for the retention and partial treatment of domestic wastewater. Effluent from the tank is discharged to the land through perforated pipes beneath the ground surface.

Retaining Wall Designs

Groundwater is monitored and observed through the use of monitoring wells and water quality samples. Hydrogeologists install monitoring wells to better understand where the water is beneath the surface.
